THE ART

Morgan tossed an idea at his mom, Lynn, to create the new labels for City Limits, with a vague, open-ended inspiration about buildings.

As she puts it: “Vague, for an artist, is great. No pigeon-holing. I loved the idea of using buildings or landscapes that everyone sees but "don't see". The familiar becomes almost unnoticed, yet if anything was suddenly gone, the loss would be both physically and emotionally felt. So... blur them out. Push the places out of focus and remind us of what exists by sketchy, hard lines. Our memory of these places fills in the rest. We can hear them, see them, smell them, and because this is damn good Washington wine, taste them.”
